OM at hOME

I admit it, I have resisted the idea of online yoga classes to begin with. It sounded blah to me especially when I couldn’t see my students and it felt like I was teaching and talking to myself. But when I switched to a Zoom platform, it allowed me to teach as authentically and as close to a real in-studio yoga class as possible. And I love it. It allows me to teach when the studios closed. It allows me to connect with my students who live far away. It allows me to observe my students and guide them without using my body to teach/demonstrate. It keeps me consistent and committed in my teaching and my practice when the pandemic hit and all I want to do is to crawl under my bed and hide. It allows me to show up for myself and my students in ways I never knew were possible.

It makes me so full of joy seeing students practicing and sharing their homes, doing yoga by the beds, in the basements, living rooms, dining rooms, porches and yes, even in the closets, surrounded by pets, family and piles of the dirty laundry at times. Sharing good days, bad days and everything in between.

I have learned that the power and the depth of this practice doesn’t have to happen inside the walls of the building but can also be impactful inside of your home, in your backyard, in a field, on vacation and wherever you are. This practice will meet you there and change your life. ⠀

The OM at hOMe classes will be very similar to my real life classes as I will not be using my body to teach/demonstrate the poses (except when needed) so I am able to take the teacher's seat and truly be present, to speak to you clearly, observe you, guide you and assist you verbally and make sure all my cues land well with you. Rather than turning your video off, I invite you to allow me into your space so I can support you during your practice (and I don’t care if it’s messy, not even tiny bit!)

Please make sure I can see your whole body and the side view of your mat if possible. It will be as close to the in-studio classes as it gets. The sessions will NOT be recorded, so these offerings are truly special and unique and will make you accountable to show up for them live, because let’s face it, we all need that extra push to practice sometimes.

All classes are 60 minutes and are suitable for all levels unless noted otherwise.

All attendees will be muted during the class. However you can unmute yourself during the class to ask questions and/or share feedback.

I won’t be playing music on my end (to be able to project my voice better) and because of the copyright and license issues, but you will receive a link to a playlist on Spotify, that you can play on your end (or choose your own music).

The cost of the class depends on the studio and the package you choose.

All the classes are taught through variety of studios. Each class has a link you can click on to register. Once you register, the studio will send you the confirmation email.
Please make sure you download the Zoom software to your laptop (preferred) or your phone and you have a space to put it where I can see the side view of your mat to serve you better.

Yoga "waiting room" will be open 10-15 min before the class and I am able to stay after the classes to answer any questions.
